And while pendulums can be any weight on a string, they tend to develop their own personalities and there are days one will work for you happily and days that that same one will decide to "take the day off" - so people who use pendulums often collect many of them and alternate depending on the day. They are like tools with the personalities of pets so to speak and developing a relationship with one is quite personal.
